Principals
With more than forty years’ experience counseling tax and financial planning clients, Rick is a Founding and Managing Member of Lichtman & Associates where he oversees the firm’s Trusts & Estates and Tax Practices. He represents clients in income, gift and estate tax planning, tax return preparation and probate matters.
Prior to the creation of Lichtman & Associates, Rick served as the Managing Member of the Law Office of Richard K. Lichtman, co-Managing Partner of the Boston law firm of Flowers and Lichtman and previously held senior roles in financing planning and accounting firms throughout Boston and New York.
He received his BA in History from George Washington University, his MBA from Boston College, JD from Temple University and his LLM in Taxation from Boston University. He is a member of the Real Property, Trusts & Estate Section of the American Bar Association as well as a member of the Taxation Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
Matt is a Founding and Managing Member of Lichtman & Associates with well over a decade of experience in both the legal and financial services industries. He manages the firm’s Private Client Services business and advises clients in Trusts & Estates and Tax matters.
Prior to founding Lichtman & Associates, Matt spent more than ten years at Goldman Sachs working in both the GS Family Office and Private Wealth Management Groups. During his tenure at Goldman Sachs, he advised high net worth families in income, gift and estate planning, as well as provided strategic & tactical investment advice across global fixed income, equity and alternative investments. Before joining Goldman, Matt practiced law at The Law Office of Richard K. Lichtman, the predecessor firm to Lichtman & Associates.
Matt received his BA in English from Brandeis University and his JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He has been awarded the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designation by the National Association of Estate Planning Councils in recognition of both his experience and interdisciplinary approach to estate planning. He is a member of the Trusts & Estates Section of the New York State Bar Association, the Probate & Taxation Sections of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and the Boston Estate Planning Council, where he serves on BEPC’s Legislative Committee. Matt is also involved in post-collegiate mentorship & recruiting as a member of the Brandeis Alumni Association.

Paralegal / Office Manager
Liz serves as both Paralegal and Office Manager of Lichtman & Associates. She has over thirty years’ experience across several law firms and has spent the past twenty years working directly alongside Rick in our predecessor firm. She received her Paralegal Certificate from Hesser College in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Liz lives in Natick with her teenage twins. When not in the office, she enjoys participating in her local running group activities, attending trivia, dogsitting, dabbling in art projects, and has recently decided to take up golf.
Tax Manager
As the firm’s Tax Manager, Amy helps to manage the firm’s tax practice and provides proactive tax planning and compliance solutions for high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and their closely held businesses. She has over a decade of tax and accounting experience and has, over that time, developed a deep understanding of both US and International tax matters. She delivers tax planning and compliance services to a diverse clientele that includes U.S. investors and entrepreneurs, expatriates, non-resident individuals, and in-bound assignees from various countries, and assists clients in adhering to various foreign reporting requirements. Prior to joining Lichtman & Associates, LLC, Amy worked at BDO, USA P.A. as a Tax Manager in the Private Client Services Group. She received her Master of Science in Accounting from Suffolk University. She has been a licensed CPA in Massachusetts since 2016. She is a member of both the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is fluent in both English and Chinese.
Senior Tax Associate
Zoe is the Senior Tax Associate and assists in the firm’s tax planning and compliance services. She has several years of experience in individual, partnership, and corporate tax matters. Prior to joining Lichtman & Associates, LLC, Zoe worked at Deloitte, LLP as a Tax Senior Associate in the Business Tax Services Group. She received her Master of Science in Accounting from Brigham Young University. She has been a licensed CPA in Massachusetts since 2022 and is a member of both the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She enjoys hiking and road and mountain biking. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
